Chaperone Guidelines

At least one adult chaperone will be in attendance on trips for each
fifteen students participating.
Chaperones will be needed to aid the director in assuming the following
responsibilities:
 | Taking roll on the busses and planes |
 | Maintaining discipline on the busses and planes |
 | Enforcing trip discipline policy |
 | Accompanying injured students to treatment center (if the
need should arise) |
 | Supervising one choir while the director is rehearsing or
performing with another |
 | Supervising students who have failed to follow trip policy
during confinement |
 | Providing a chain-of-command for students to follow when the
directors attention is focused elsewhere |
Chaperones are required to pay for the cost of the trip, and will be
housed in doubles rather than quads unless specific arrangements are made.
Application for Chaperones will be taken During the month of December.
Parents of seniors get preference, but parents with special skills or
abilities are also needed for the trip (especially those with medical
training).
Chaperone duties will be pre-assigned, and may be traded if other
chaperones are willing to agree. With a little luck (and a lot of student
responsibility), confinement supervision will not be necessary.
