Attendance is required for every member at all performances unless prior permission is granted by the director. Choir members are to report to the choir room 30 minutes before the performance wearing the appropriate dress established for each individual concert.

An unexcused absence from any performance will automatically result in a lowered grade in choir as outlined in the school district's mandatory performance policy.

The director must be given prior notification of an absence in order for it to be an excused absence.  Excusable absences include:  death in the family, illness, and other serious circumstances..

In the case of performances that are scheduled by the director with less than one month's advanced notice, failure to attend because of prior commitment will not result in a lower grade unless the director is not given prior written notice.

In the event of an unavoidable conflict with an athletic event, students must give the director prior notice of the conflict.  These students will be given the opportunity to make up the performance as outlined in the district's mandatory performance policy.
